  19. Finally getting this in. It's been a crazy couple months but I am actually looking forward to the next 90 days (ok 80 days *eyeroll*). I am in the process of an unplanned move so this challenge is good it is an opportunity to keep control over something during all the craziness.

Goals: My main goal is to lose weight and be healthier but I am learning that if I set a pound amount I get all weird because i'll divide it by the number of weeks I have given myself and once I don't hit the magic number for a week I get discouraged and have a hard time turning it around. So I am already going to WW and have that to track my weight but the goials I am putting here are fitness related because I want to be able to do these things and getting healthier and losing weight will be part of meeting those goals.

1- RUN- This seems to be a common goal with my pals but I want to be a runner or even jogger. I want to be one of those people who goes for a run to clear their head and all the answers to life just come to them. Also I am preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse and if it was to happen today I'd be lunch. So to make this happen I am going to go back to the couch to 5K app because I think if you pay attention to the little voice it really is helpful. I'd like to start doing it in the early am before work. Maybe I can trick my body into not realizing what I am doing. Also whenever the opportunity arises I will meet with friends to walk-jog-run but at the moment I live a bit far from most of you.

2- Warrior Dash- Looking at this online both excites me but also scares the crap out of me. I keep looking at the obstacles in the dash and trying to figure what I need to work on to help me get through it. This is going to take me out of my Zumba comfort zone waahhh but I will add in a Sunday Boot Camp starting next Sunday-I can do this with Star and Mona :)

3- Need to clean up my eating habits. After I did that Sugar Detox I was doing great no sugar no carbs etc but slowly I lost all those new habits. To accomplish this I am going to track through WW app and enter a food log here. Also because I know when I have my weak moments I must tell my friend Mona at work when I want to go get something salty and not healthy from the vending machine or cafeteria and she is going to tell me no lol. Mid afternoon at work kills me I am trying to break the habit of snacking at work.

4- Non fitness goal- Embrace change- I am going through a lit of changes at the moment and I think what is making it like a thousand times worse in my eyes is that I am a creature of habit. So I want to be more flexible and start looking for ways to mix things up instead of trying to keep things like they were because sometimes thats just not an option.

My first better eating win - I packed a big bag of fruit because I knew my coworker was bringing in Bella Napoli treats and I want to avoid them.

    1. Angela,

Love your goals and love that you are doing this despite the fact that you are going through challenges and changes. If you are open to it, I'm willing to help with any of your goals but in particular the embracing change goal. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve when it comes to this.

    2. Angela,
I also love your goals. If you enjoy Warrior Dash, maybe you'd like to try Obstacle Apocalypse next.

  20. Angela, I love your out-look on life. I do not want you to be anyone or anythings lunch! Run, Angela, run! It seems that we all have similar goals and can be great supports for each other.

The Warrior Dash will be so much fun! We will work together to accomplish this race.

  22. Star - agree - would have been GREAT to meet you...there is still hope of that happening, of course...

Yesterday, when I was doing my little lunch jog, I saw this woman who was doing these insane jumps (girl could JUMP)...and the kicker? She was "jumping" UP a mountain (well, it's a mountain in Virginia Beach cause aside from this one spot, it's flatter than flat in Virginia Beach). I know I picked my jaw up from the ground at some point...

I regret that my first thought was...I could never do that. My second thought was...you shouldn't have thought that first thought. Now - i am thinking I will give it a try...but when nobody is looking ;-)

    1. Ellen, I agree we still could meet and I think that would be great. I also think my jaw would have been right there on the ground with you if I were to witness that woman! But look at you.....you are going to give it a try. That is awesome. You know I am so inspired by you and all your eagerness to seek a healthier life. I have struggled with my weight all my life. I will say one thing..I Will Never Stop Trying! We can do this. Keep it up. I truly look forward to meeting you someday. Maybe when Lisa has our 90 day bar b q the end of August you could come? :-)

  23. OK it's been a while since I have posted. My plan for tomorrow after church is elliptical for 45 min then get serious again about eating. I haven't taken a break I have been holding strong but I must blog it again to keep me on track.
