Hello all! So excited to start this project with you:) 3 Goals
#1 - Start attending Weight Watchers meetings again and regain my lifetime membership. Attend at least 2 times a month and get back to my goal weight.
#2 - Participate in 2 5K's between now and the end of the challenge and have the time for my second race beat the first. First race is booked (The Freihofer's Run for Women on June 1st).
#3 - Still working on this one...
How I will measure my goals...
#1 - Attend meetings, weigh in (this is recorded) and track what I'm eating either online or on paper (food journal of some sort).
#2 - Work out regularly (3 times a week) and record this with my food journal. Hopefully my name in the newspaper with my running time will be a record of my goal too!
Wow!! I had my 6 week postpartum visit today and stepped on the scale....ouch. I have more weight to lose than I thought. But I made it to a Weight Watchers meeting and Zumba tonight which was a step in the right direction. Thanks Star and Crystal for filling in :)
Mary Ellen,If you need help or support just let me know. We are all in this together. We can do this! Also it was my pleasure filling in for our girl Lisa. Love that class:)
So far I think I'm off to a good start! Some highlights since the 90 day challenge started: -Started back at WW -Tracked for the last 3 days and stayed within my target -Jogged at the gym on Saturday -Got outside and played with my kids :) -Made a huge batch of 0 point Weight Watchers soup that I'll be enjoying for lunch this week -I'm going to the fitness challenge at the Town Park in a couple hours. Bring it!
MadeByMellen...you know what they say - it takes 9 months to put it on...it takes the rest of your life to get it off...ok, well, that's not the saying but that's how I felt after twins...hang with it...nevermind that silly number on the scale...sounds like you had a great first week! woot woot!
Good for you! Passing on dessert is hard. I am so happy for you and remember it's all those little victories that will add up to our Big Victories! Great job Mary Ellen
Mary Ellen - I can't believe you are out running 5ks less than 2 months after having a baby! In awe of you! And it makes me want to stop whining about runnung... almost. :)
Wow I've been slacking about posting! Things have been going well...I've been sticking with Weight Watchers for almost 3 weeks and have lost 6.8 lbs! Hopefully I'll have another loss when I weigh in before Zumba on Thurzday.
I've been working out (almost) every day using Lindsay Brin's Pretty Fierce: Weight Loss DVD series. It's like Insanity, but for mom's and almost as tough, but not quite. It's still a killer workout.
I've been eating very healthy, lots of fruits and veggies too. Too many artificial sweeteners though - I really should cut down on Splenda.
It's been hard to get to the gym to run, so the Friehofers Run on June 1st should be interesting!!
