  1. My 90 Day Challenge GOALS:

    1) Lose 10 lbs (I really need to do this) – progress measured by the scale (photo proof of numbers on the scale *GULP*)

    2) Run 2.5 miles in 25 minutes or less (current time would be 28, I think - definitely not less than that) – progress measured by mapmyrun/timed runs (my running partner will help keep me honest!). This is my post-surgery goal so it cannot be more aggressive at this time.

3)In 90 days, organize 3 major rooms in my house by removing ALL clutter and getting it to everyday living standard – dining room, living room and master bedroom ) - This will be no small feat as we recently rennovated and everything we had upstairs was brought downstairs (except for stuff in the master) AND we have 3 kids 5 and under - progress measured in photos

  2. One extra credit challenge for me - learn a complete song on guitar by the end of the 90 day challenge

  3. Day 1 - a total bust! Husband down for the count (completely sick) so it was me and the kids. I guess, in a way, that is a workout!!! Food was just ok...will be doing much better for day 2. Started with some scrambled eggs and coffee, sans my normal creamer. Will do some lunges and jacks ever hour today while I am at work...tonight's workout is on the fence with hubby out...

  4. Post-surgery goals? Wow! That's fantastic! I'm sure you'll blow past your hubby's illness and jump right back on track! Good luck with all of your goals!

  6. Thanks for the encouragement! I am going to put week one to rest - as the sickness spread like wildfire through the house - I was down for the count yesterday...plus side, I probably lost a pound or two from not wanting to eat and not being able to hold it down.
Kicked off this morning with a very healthy egg/veggie omlet. Healthy lunch was packed and workout clothes are on the ready for a lunch excursion...it's on...it is SO on...;-)

  7. Ok - got a pretty nice run in yesterday considering it was only my 2nd real attempt post-surgery. 1.7 miles in about 18:15 mins. Took it easy and enjoyed it on a gorgeous day. No movement on the scale yet - but definitely more movement for these old bones. Feeling good...and that's what counts the most...

  8. Got myself out for a 2 mile spin around a local lake that happens to close to my office. Felt really good to do it because I had ZERO motivation to dress out and head over there...was so glad I did. Have made very little progress on decluttering my home but am getting good at completing the first 6 lines or so of "Take it Easy" on the guitar. I cannot feel the fingertips on my left hand.

I am giving up on alcohol...not forever, but for a good portion of what is left of this challenge (I cannot lie - if I go out to dinner with my husband without kids...wish is rare...wine will be had!) I just can't justify the extra calories...not even with the excuse that it will make me a better mom to my three maniacs because of inevitable relaxation that follows a glass of wine (hey, the bottle IS a glass, right???)....I am not beating myself up but think I could be doing better with this challenge...good thing we get to start fresh each time we wake up ;-)
